Ridgeline IT Solutions uses a toll-free number to send automated IT monitoring alerts by text message to our own technicians and on-call staff. Alerts cover events on systems we manage, such as failed backups, server outages, hardware failures, and security events.
These messages are operational alerts only. We never send marketing or promotional messages through this program.
Who receives these messages
Only Ridgeline IT Solutions employees who have opted in. We do not collect phone numbers from the public, and we do not buy, rent, or share phone numbers.
How consent is collected
An administrator collects consent verbally from each employee during onboarding by reading this script:
“Ridgeline IT Solutions would like to send automated IT system alerts, such as backup failures, server outages, and security events, to your mobile number at [number] from our toll-free number. These are operational alerts only, not marketing. Message frequency varies with system events. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Our Terms and Privacy Policy are available at ridgelineitsolutions.com. Do you agree to receive these text alerts?”
The employee must answer “yes.” The administrator then records the employee’s name, mobile number, and the date and time of consent, and adds the number to the alert system. A confirmation text is sent right away:
“Ridgeline IT Solutions: You’re subscribed to IT system alerts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

“Ridgeline IT Alert: Backup job on server-01 failed at 2:14 AM. Check the monitoring console for details. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
